Another boring day as usual for me today! =o( I did happen to peep a pretty cool asian flick though.Its called “Kung Fu Mahjongg”,I happened by it while checking out one of my favorite torrent sites mininova.org.In case most people dont know i happen to be a huuuuuge martial arts fan! I have literally hundreds of kung fu flicks stashed around the crib,so i thought why not give it a try.I must say it was pretty entertaining.I did notice that even though it wasnt directed by stephen chow it did have alot of his influences.Such as alot of the typical chop socky humor that u associate with him and most of the principal characters are regulars in his films.But of course the ones that really steal the show are the “the mahjong queen” and the “the god of gambling” (you may know them as the landlord and landlady in kung fu hustle),These two actors work really well together and are pretty funny! I hope i get to see them in more flicks in the future.But anyways the movie is basically about a young man who has super memory,is befriended by the “god of gambling” and is co-oerced into playin mahjong for him to make a ton of money.but some where along the line he ends up in a affair with a major gambling mob boss and gets his ass beat stupid (literally) when the boss finds out.So wit the help of the god of gambling and queen of mahjong he enters a mahjong tournament to get revenge.Thats basically the story in condensed form.The movie does have a few kung fu scenes but its mostly comedy and about people playing mahjong.So during most of the movie i was kinda confused since i really dont know how to play it,but it was still interesting though.After watching the movie it actually got me wanting to learn how to play this game.I had bought a mahjong set a few years ago because i saw them in all the kung fu flicks and wanted to learn sometime.lol plus they were cheap and looked really cool.So I guess i will try to learn sumtime this week so maybe the movie will make a lil more sense to me and i can finally dust the cobwebs off the set =o)I also found out today Best Buy is getting big shipments of xbox 360’s on the 18th.I bet they gonna sell them out fast! Im still not sure if i should cop one =o\ Im a big video game freak also! So im like dying to own it! But to be honest theres not too many games that i want for it thats out now except maybe for quake 4,call of duty and the new dead or alive.So i dont know if i should get it now or wait till Halo 3 comes out.HMMMM DECISIONS! DECISIONS!!! I guess imma have to sleep on it! oh well im out!! Peace!!
