Hey wassup peoples Dragn Checkin in for the blog.Well its been pretty dead on the news and life tip so i dont really know what to blog on for today.But i guess ill talk about mixtapes.Today one of my niggas at work let me peep a mixtape from Big Mike.If you dont know who he is,he is one of those “scream” DJ’s in the same vein as DJ Clue who dont do shit but just scream all over a cd and have no blending and no scratching wat so ever.How the fuck are these niggas gettin respect for what they doin? How are niggas like Whookid,Clue,Big Mike,Kay Slay Getting respect over real djs who actually put in work on thier mixtapes like DJ Break,Revolution,and Dirty Harry is beyond me! To Me a real definition of a mixtape is of course hot exclusives,remixes,scratching,blending and other crazy shit which you dont hear from your scream dj’s.These niggas have no skills what so ever they just take one song after another dont even blend them,give shout outs inbetween the songs an call that shit a mixtape and people eat that shit up.Please stop disrespecting the true art of the mixtape and supporting this bullshit! One blame for this is the internet.Ever since the internet became really “main” stream and the avergae joe found out how to download music this has kinda killed the mixtape game.Since anyone can have access to what ever new music is out now its not hard to make a “clue” tape so people put out a tape tryin to get some sort of fame or money out of it.But if you look at it realistically those tapes will never hold up over time.Once those “exclusives” on that cd get burned out at the clubs and gets over rotation on the radio where u dont wanna here it no more what u have left is a cd of old songs that u dont want to hear no more.But a well constructed mixtape were alot of remixing,blending and hot cuts will always stand the test of time becuase alot of effort was put into it and of course it would show through.So i guess i kinda miss that out of every hot mixtape that comes my way there are 30 others that are straight trash.Those arent good odds! So basically for this rant i wanna say STOP SUPPORTING BULLSHIT!! BULL SHIT RAPPERS! BULLSHIT MC’s! BULL SHIT ANYTHING!! This is killing our hip hop! Our Lifestyle! MY Generation! Dont sell out my life to this garbage! Keep Real Hip Hop Alive!!! Ok Enuff for today! Im OUT!! PEEP THE MADDNESS NIGGAS!!!! PEACE!!!
