I just finished watching Tropic Thunder (out in theaters now) and man I would have to say this is the FUNNIST movie I have seen in a long time.  Ben Stiller proves yet again he is good at his craft of making people laugh.

Tropic Thunder stars of course Ben Stiller, Robert Downey Jr, Jack Black and a host of other supporting characters such as Matthew McConaughey, Nick Nolte, Tom Cruise and more.  Plus a plethora of cameos, you have to be fast to catch them.  Over all this movie to me is is a 10/10!!!  One thing that I read was how Robert Downey Jr got the inspiration for his character.

“I started remembering my dad did this movie called ‘Putney Swope.’ I was in New York [at that time] and the character was supposed to be a Vietnam soldier, so I was remembering some of the folks who were hanging out in the West Village back then,” Downey said. “Without it being too specific, I just started this gravelly, cool, very world-weary voice, and I said, ‘Oh my God, I’m going to have a ball with this.’
“I laid the voice on [Stiller] and he laughed, and I thought, you know, he’s just laughing to make me feel OK, and then he’s going to change it all when we get there,” Downey added. “And then I got there [and nothing was changed].”

Man I must say Robert Downey has portrayed a lot of characters in his career just looking at his filmography on IMDB.COM you can see that.  It just amazes me how he can come out the wood works with a performance like this.  If I can make a prediction I think when Oscar time comes around this fill will win SOMETHING!!!.
